And now, the dusk draws near,
The final note I used to fear
But through the highs, and through the grey,
I found my voice, and lived *my way*.
Regrets? I've had a few
But none that I would trade or rue.
I charted storms, I chased the flame,
I bore the cost, I took the blame.
I loved, I lost, I broke, I healed,
And never once the truth concealed.
I faced it all, come what may,
And stood my ground, yes, my way
I've laughed and cried, I've sung and sighed,
I've held the truth when others lied.
And though the road was rarely kind,
It sharpened soul, and steadied mind.
For what is life, if not a test?
To risk it all, and give your best.
To speak your truth, with heart and fire,
Not shrink away, or soon expire.
Let critics sneer, let doubters bray,
I did not kneel, I did not stray.
I lived, I burned, I dared to stay
And now I rest, still… *my way*.
