A dark male shape is towering over a shape on the ground of a female. the female shape puts her hands above head while still laying on the ground, and shoots up ward landing on her feet, the male grabs around in his pocket and pulls out a gun, but not fast enough, the female had her right arm around his throat while her left was under his left arm. Then she pulled upward sending the male sideways onto the stone floor shoulder first. Then he slowly gets up while saying: "Xire ... How could you think you could defeat your own flesh and blood. "then gets up and points the gun at Xire's forehead. She's motionless, "good bye Xire" he says. then he fires.
Xire shoots up in bed breathing hard, then looks around, she was still in the periwinkle bedroom she'd moved into after moving to new York city. Then she looked over at the alarm clock. 5:59, then the all to familiar "BEEP! BEEP!" then she slams her hand down on the snooze, gets up,and turns off the alarm clock before starting her morning routine: starting up some breakfast. While toast is starting.then while that goes ,take a shower. Then eat after getting dressed. Usually she would sleep in until 7am , leaving an extra hour until she would set off. She spent this time reading a magazine and poking around the fridge.
When 7:31 came Xire set off on her bike to "Old times record store" where she worked. This morning there were fewer people on the street and sidewalk than normal, but Xire ignored it and peddled on. When she rounded a corner, only a few blocks away, some guy jumped in front of her bike. She grabbed the brakes hard and jerked right sending her into the sidewalk. She decided without much thought:"if he's going to steel my bike or do something to me, I should get a good picture of his face." then pulled out her cellphone and took a picture of him while he was walking over to her, she put the phone back in her pocket, grabbed her bike then slammed it into the strange man. While he was stunned Xire took advantage and rode away as fast as she could.
Xire nearly broke through the glass doors of "old towns record store" When she finally arrived. Walked her bike out back, pit the kick stand down and chained it up. Everything was normal acept for the strange man walked past the store a few times. then it was lunch break , Xire unrolled the sandwich she packed and started eating. Then the bell on the door jingled. Xire looked up and saw it was the strange man, now she got a good look at him; he was tall, with tanned skin and redish blonde hair,and glasses that were big and round.you could only see through their shine at certain angles. He walked up to the counter slowly and stood there for a minute. Then slammed his hands on the counter making Xire flinch and a piece of lettuce fall. The shine of his glasses made it impossible to see his eyes. They stayed there Xire not moving then the already tall man stepped back and towered over her as she shrank back, he had a disgusted look on his face. At this angle she could see through the glasses, he had dark eyes. and his eyebrows were narrowed.then he leaned down and started laughing. "can I help you. If not then leave" Xire snapped unexpectedly with anger drawing In her. Then the man smiled and started patting her head, "you're a good kid" "what?" she was 18 and a half, but full grown. But still... How did he know her age , and did he know her? There were so many questions to be asked. But then he turned and started for the entrance . Then said without looking:" goodbye, Xire" there was something about the way he said 'Xire' that sent chills down her spine. But the man left before she could ask his name.
The rest of the day went smooth and normal. Xire went back home , popped some chili in the microwave and sat down to watch the news. They showed how gas prices continued to skyrocket, not something she'd have worry about, then the microwave sang out "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" an she got up to get it. While she was a few spoonfuls into her chili she heard a familiar voice coming from the tv, she looked up and dropped her spoon in the bowl. It was the strange man. He was talking to the news anchor,"I'm looking for a list friend..." he began , Xire took the moment to dig the spoon out of her chili and restart eating." I haven't seen her sense she was little" then memories shone in his eyes, "and what is her name?"the news woman asked."Xire" he said. This made Xire spit out her chili and choke on the part she was swallowing. "NANI?!" then she slapped her hand over her mouth(nani is how you say 'what' and Japanese) "why did I say that?..." she asked herself then looked up the mans face was in close up on the tv. That scared core and she leaned back really far to fast and her whole chair fell back. "today just keeps getting weirder" she told herself.
After the day was done and she was ready to sleep she crawled in bed. She lay the for hours it seemed. Then she opened her eyes and saw it was 3am, rolled over and looked out the window. A blank sky sat there, but the she saw a slight movement of a shadow, and got up and looked out at a better angle. To her surprise the man was there on the small balcony, leaning against the rail, smiling. Then she opened the glass door and walked out onto the balcony, closing the door behind her. "who are you mr.stalker and what do you want" she said , trying not to shout. He got up from the railing but stopped smiling. Then walked over to her, Xire took a step back, now only a step from the wall."in time you will find out all you need to know" then put his finger on her chin and got really close to her face. He slowly pushed her to the last step against the wall. With a hand on each side of her he leaned down and whispered: "Xire, it's important that you tell no one of this." and leaned closer."keep this a secret" then got his mouth to her ear. Xire had no clue what he was about to tell her. He opened his mouth and bit her ear, not hard but it still hurt. In instinct she slammed her knee upward into his crotch forcing him to release. He took a step back and got on his knees "oh god that hurt" "you tricked me! What ever you were going to say, say it now." he just looked at her then said" in time dear Xire, your to young to under stand it all at once. Now get to sleep." then he turned, jumped onto the rail, and jumped off. Questions buzzed through her head while Xire finally dozed off suddenly feeling tired.
