Hey Guys, some of you probably don't know but exhorbitant taxes for tech products here is something can rate as common, "Brazil has the most expensive iPhone of the world" and other stuff. A Nintendo DSi at launch was slightly more than 500$ US Dollars, i guess you dont wanna know ths ps3, xbox price. As well as the consoles, games are EXTREMELY expensive, i already a single DS game card here at 130$ US Dollars, As well as accessories, and anything related.
The road to get a glasses-free 3D experience: headache
I've been looking for the options available for me to get a Nintendo 3DS without paying not more than 650$ US dollars (that will probably be launch price here) As well as avoid the late launch date, that will most likely go from 1 to 4 months of the US date.
Shipping an american 3DS from Amazon:
If i ship a 3DS i will pay 250$ + 60% of the product value just for my loved country , this means i will pay around +135$ US Dollars.
But the good news, No importing taxes for products bellow 50$ US Dollars, Which basically means i will be able to get my games only paying the shipping as additional payment, or most of them...since i heard some will be slightly more than 50$.
What do you guys think? should i get it this way or think another way of getting a 3DS?
Let the discussion fly, I thank you for helping me decide what i should do, feel free to share your toughs about how this wonderful country likes to make us pay more in taxes than the product price itself.
*cough* shipping + tax *cough*
^^ I can say i am somehow not proud of considering myself a Brazilian person.
This country just keeps disgusting me more and more.
