Take whats around you
Grains of sand
Bits of stories
In the palm of your hand

Take what you like
From the sounds you find
The infinite melodies
Melding in your mind

Take all of your thoughts
Like leaves from a tree
Sort them out
And make your poetry

Whatever you may think
That you're simply spewing
You're "little release"
Is a new storm brewing

The thunder sounds drum
Lightning your song
Rain giving vital life
What could go wrong?

They judge you?
You can't hear their thoughts
They may call it garbage
But you can prove them it's not

While the river may bear
The sharpest of rocks
It erodes them away
The water has fought

It's your stream
Your shores vitality
The world may shame you
But it's your reality

I make my world
To stop my hurt
To bring a message
I hope it works

That you read my poetry
And find your beach
Make your sandcastle
