Nothing wrong with doing this sort of thing, but the appropriate way of doing it is to put your FC on your profile (like I did with my O2DS and Pokemon FCs), and to ask people in groups, the chatrooms, or via DM to play with you.
(And you can give them your FC when you do so as well.)

Oh, and for the record, I'd play with you in ACNL myself if I could, but the newest AC game I have is City Folk for the Wii, and even playing that with you would be impossible for me ATM.

(None of our game systems are working ATM.)

Both actually. We never got NL for some reason, and my 3DS (or rather, Old 2DS) is broken.

(I still hope to get it fixed someday, but it's been broken for over 3 years now.)
