How to start a game of Survival Minecraft!

When you start, your first instinct is to gather some wood.
I recommend punching down 2 trees if you have Oak or Birch around, and 1 tree if it's Dark Oak, Spruce or Savanna.
When you get done with that, make your wood into planks (SAVE 4 WOOD LOGS, WE WILL GET BACK TO THAT!) and craft a crafting table with said wood.

When you place down your crafting table, craft a wooden pickaxe and pick back up your crafting table, start looking for exposed stone or dig 3 blocks down to get to some stone and Grab 30-40 stone.

When you got some cobblestone, place back down your crafting table and craft all your stone tools, sword, axe, pickaxe, shovel, hoe and don't forget the furnace!
If you have sheep near you, kill 3 sheep, now you have food and Wool. (which is important for making a bed!)

Now find a place where to build your first base. (Perferably in-between biomes. Don't take too long as nighttime comes fast!)
Start with a 8x8x4 house.
Make the walls, make sure you stay in proportion.
Before you make the roof, use some of your wood planks to smelt the wood logs in your furnace into charcoal and while you wait, make a bed with 3 wool and 3 wooden planks.
When its done, go to your crafting table and craft torches with the sticks and the charcoal you just made.

Light up the area around you and inside your house with the torches (make sure you put a torch in every corner of your house! Put it one block below where the roof will go.)
Now make wooden plank slabs and make your roof with them. (If you need more wood go chop down more trees with your stone axe.)
Replace the grass on the bottom of your house with the leftover wooden slabs. (MAKE SURE YOU PLACE THEM IN THE TOP POSTION)

Place your bed down beside your crafting table and furnace and now your first minecraft base is made!
And now that its it possibly nighttime, you can sleep the night away!
