---------------(part 1)----------------
I'm going to write some Islamic POV about things that can relate to all of us and that anyone can learn something from. It doesn't matter if you are a Christian, Jew, Atheist I want people to know more about Islam!
-The literal meaning of Sabr
The real meaning of sabr(patience) is not clear to most people because of the thick screens of misconceptions created by them in their minds. To them it means a state of helplessness due to inability to take revenge on their adversaries, but in reality that's not the case.
The literal meaning of Sabr is "to endure and bear", i.e. to endure situations of confusion and anxiety and to remain steadfast and patient, and the same is the true purpose of sabr. It does not mean helplessnesss due to uncontrollable circumstances or inability to take revenge, but means strength of character, determination, moral courage and steadfastness.
-To wait for the appropriate time
One of the implications of sabr is that the human being should bear all hardships to achive his object and wait for success. In the beginning, when the Prophet invited people to the Oneness of Allah (God) and preached Islam, everyone in Arabia became most vigorously opposed to him. As is human nature, he was upset and agitated and success seemed to him very far away. At that time, Allah sent him a message of consolation and advised him to presevere in his effort with determination and patience. Allah comforted the Prophet with the assurance the He was his Guardian and that his Judgement would be passed in an appropriate time.
-Not to become impatient
Another implication of Sabr is that one should not be upset by hardships and difficulties. Instead, the hardships should be faced squarely and happily as Allah's Will and expendience. Furthermore, there should be a firm faith that at the appropriae time Allah will remove all obstacles by His divine favours and blessings.
