---------------(part 2)---------------
-To face hardships with courage
Sabr also implies that one should not be discouraged by any of the difficulties, dangers, troubles, taunts, and ridicules inflicted by enemies. Instead, one should become even more steadfast and determined in one's effort to achieve the desired goal. Obstacles have often been placed in the path of those who have tried to make major reforms, but they have faced them with determination and firmness and succeeded.
-To forgive
Another implication of Sabr is to overlook the mischiefs of evil-doers and to forgive those who are malevolent and afflict pain. In other words, one should show one's strength of character by being tolerant and patient.
The muslims have repeatedly advised that they have been told that the patience and forbearance should not be due to weakness or fear of the enemy or some other reason, but for the sake of Allah alone.
-self control
In the lives of people and nations there sometimes arises occasions of great success or failure. At those times it is often difficult to have self-control and restraint. There should be self-control so that when one is in a state of happiness one does not become puffed up with pride and ostentation, in the state of grief and pain one does not become depressed and disheartened.
They should bear any physical and financial hardships that may befall them with patience, self-control, and steadfastness. They should be subservient to Allah and believe that finally they will return to him. Muslim, therefore, should have no hesitation in sacrificing their lives and spending their wealth in the way of Allah. To die in the path of Allah is in fact attainment of an eternal life.
-the reward of Sabr
Past mistakes and wrongs are completely wiped out if one acts with sabr. One receives the greatest rewards in this world as well as the Hereafter.
Excellent blogs, and I'd argue that Christians like myself can be far better Christians by acting with Sabr as well. (It might be hard sometimes, but it's well worth it.)
