Hello there! I hear you want a perfect gaming experience, so you clicked here.
First thing before we get into this, some things may be biased, i will try not to be biased
First, we need to see what you enjoy playing: Retro games, Graphically intensive game, or everything you want?
Retro gaming consoles:
# Nintendo
-NES (1987), the classic console with the original Super Marios Bros. 1-3 + Lost levels in Japan, this was such a good console back then, and can still be enjoyed by gamers today
-Gameboy (1989), The classic handheld game, introduced pokemon and tetris, with the first ever 3D game for a handheld (X Ekkusu)
-SNES (1991), A huge upgrade from 8bit to 16bit with improved graphics, better audio and support to play Gameboy games, this was the best console for home gaming!
-Nintendo 64 (1996), From 2D to 3D, we entered the 3rd dimension with this one, with classics like Pokemon Snap, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Kart (N64)
-Gameboy Advance (1999), From the previous gameboy, this one supports even better games with a sightly better screen
-Gamecube (2001), From the previous 3D console, you can enjoy much better graphics and audio with it using small DVD's, with a control design that is still used today, with the iconic super smash bros!
-Gameboy Advance SP (2001), The superior gameboy, small and can fit in your pocket and can play every gameboy game out there
-DS (2004), The portable gaming takes on a fat design as we entered 2 screen territory, with cartridges becoming small! This has modding support even by today
-DS lite (2006), The DS but smaller, not much to say here
-DSi (2008 ), The DS reimagined, gets rid of the Gameboy Advance slot but lets you connect to the internet with classics like Flipnote Studio and the Browser, or play around with the built in camera
-Wii (2007), The 3D territory gets even better, with motion controls for games like Wii Sports
-3DS (2013), The DS takes on a cooler design and gets better, with a 3D screen and better audio and quality
-Wii U (2013), The wii now has a tablet, with 2 screens now, have fun with this new bundle of joy with more fun than i care to say!
# Xbox
-Xbox (2001), the original, this had all the storage you needed back then, but Halo was birthed
-Xbox 360 (2006), the nostalgic console to many, this boi has all of the good games like CoD BO 2 and more classics like Minecraft: Legacy Edition and Terraria: Legacy Edition
-Xbox One (2013), the beefier console with tons of storage, with exclusive online capabilites
# PlayStation
*do note i have barely any research put into this section*
-PS (1996), this one is nostalgic to some, with its CD issues and tunes on startup
-PS2 (2001), this is the best console for about 2 months but has some good games
-PS3 (2006), a classic, almost became a supercomputer
-PS4 (2013), a slow by todays standards and a tiny bit slower than its competition
Graphically the best
3. Nintendo Switch (2017), this console has the power of a Xbox 360, beating the PS3
2. PS5 (202?), this console has MANY exclusives, but not the power that you might want
1. Xbox Series S&X (202?), these 2 consoles are for both budgeted people and are riped with power compared to the PS5 with its free multiplayer, its no wonder why this is number 1
Best of both worlds
-Rasberry pi, with a custom shell. You can create all of your favorite handhelds with this
-PC ($600 USD+) or laptop ($1000 USD+), you can use any emulation for consoles before 2013
-PC ($1400 USD+) or laptop ($1800 USD+), you can get a perfect emulator for this
-PC ($5000 USD+) theres not laptop equivalent to this beast, with a possible Ryzen 5 7800X, 512GB of RAM, a RTX 4090 and plenty of storage, this will eat everything you give it
I basically use my 3ds and gba sp for games.(still have that darned ps2 i need to hook up lol) I used to have a blue dsi as my first ds. Wish i could game on a laptop someday.(did you know 8tb versions exist? I'm not pulling your leg lol i just find that fascinating.) I've seen people get old pdas and put emulators on them too.Great blog!(didnt mean to infodump on ya sorry heh.)

Btw you mentioned that the playstation had exclusives, didn't mention anything abt nintendo exclusive games lmao.
"The switch is a joke, anyways, the ps5 has many exclusives-" Personally I think if you like cool controllers, buy a ps5, if you hate playing games that arent free with your friends, buy a series X if you can't play games at the dreaded *GASP* 30 fps...If you're poor buy a switch, online is 20$ a year. Now lets just take a look at gamepass prices, huh...Its just ordinary online membershi- OH MY GOODNESS-
Nintendo 100% has stronger exclusives than ps tho.
And like microsoft has halo at 120 fps....
Not any halo before 3 tho, you gotta buy the master chief collection bc daddy gates wants your money.
(Go ahead, try playing halo one on series x)
If you want the part two of my rant where I talk abt nintendo having splatoon smash subcrib-
