so like i accidentally flooded my dsi with isopropanol (100% isopropyl)(dont ask me how, i have no idea either) which caused it to die
after like 3 days of waiting for it to dry/evaporate, no dice. no life at all. if i plugged the charger in then the charge light would show up, but if i tried powering it on, it would just blink once. (i read that it means theres an electrical short somewhere)
today, i tried getting it to power on and it refused too. took out the battery many times and even took the back cover off and lifted the motherboard and wiped it. still wouldnt work.
fast forward to like half an hour ago, i tried powering it on multiple times. nothing.
for some reason, no idea why, i decided to intentionally pour some isopropanol into it through the cartridge port
for some unknown reason... it just powered on lol
like this could have been a coincidence but still
the thing that killed it, fixed it.
im writing this blog on it rn.
my bottom screen is flooded with alcohol, it also smells like alcohol and its dripping out a little
otherwise everything is fine.
luv yall, goobye
update: its official. my dsi is alcoholic. i shut it off and when i came back to it, when i try to open any app, it throws an error on a black screen. i pour some alcohol inside and it magically works again. this has happened twice now
I am very aware. Even tho I dried out the console anyway, I also thought not much would happen since it's non conductive and it's also 100%. And yes I did ventilate it properly
