Since school is starting again for a lot of people I felt like doing a blog on study and test tips to help people.
-Write down all the key information on a page or two to study instead of reading over possibly pages useless information as well.
-Get a good night's sleep, staying up too late or not sleeping enough hours can cause you to become easily distracted or tired during school.
-Study when you are well rested and alert, studying when you're tired or not interested is useless.
-Make sure you're in a quiet place without distractions to study.
-Reading out loud doesn't help you study more effectively.
-Never study within 30 minutes of going to sleep.
-Never study for more than 30-40 minutes at a time, most students do better when they study for shorter periods of time with breaks in between.
-Sit in the front of the class, you might not want to, but sitting in the front will keep you away from distrations and you will be less likely to miss out on anything the teacher says.
-Listen for things your teacher hints will be on an upcoming test and put a star or other mark beside them on your notes.
-If you sit next to somebody who distracts you, ask the teacher if you can move.
-Experts say kids who eat a healthy breakfast do better in school.
•Avoid foods with too much sugar or caffeine as they can give you a short burst of energy, but leave you worn out.
•Avoid greasy foods as they can make you tired.
•Never skip breakfast!
-On tests answer the easy questions first[the ones you find easy] so you don't forget the answers to them, and so you don't get stuck on a hard question and not finish the test in time.
•remember you don't have to answer them in order!
-On multiple choice questions eliminate the obviously false choices first.
-Your first answer is usually correct, don't change it unless you took a wild guess.
-Look for answers or hints in other questions on the test.
Waste knows what he's doing!, I can read something and remember it if I actually care I'm good at math I can't do it using their methods though so I don't even bother.
Last time I studied was in fourth grade. Im in 11th grade now and I never study lol
Im amazingly good at reading and history. Im horrible at math. I slacked off and now I regret it. :/
Im not dumb, Im very lazy but Im very smart and innovative.
I get the terms I need to study and copy them onto my cellphone's "notepad" tool and use my long sleeve sweater to cover my phone. I only copy the term and the KEYWORDS not the WHOOOLE defination. This way I cheat and actually learn the words and memorize them! So far Ive used this method to cheat on my US-History class and Ive gotten a 97 and 93 on tests. NEVER aim for a 100. Only once in awhile
Im not saying you should cheat but if you do then try to learn and memorize the words in the process.
