Grammar. It may seem annoying to type on the dsi, so we use abbreviations. But that is no excuse to start talking like primitive creatures! If you're writing a blog, chances are, a blog with good grammar will have a bigger chance of being featured. When applying for a job, do you think that companies like Microsoft want to hire people who writ lik ths? If you talk like that, habits can form. Its ok to use abbreviations sometimes, but don't abuse. We all should know how to write properly.
well if your in a rush and texting i can see why people use abbriviations {did i spell that right?... nope proboly not back 2 point} but i still agree with this blog a lot of the time when people abrriviate {hard word 4 me} i cant understand what the abrriviation is {bear with me here} i mean i know all the reagular ones ex. lol, yw, tw and so on. but people dont "text write all teh time!!" and that is why i agree with this blog. ps: thank you for time to read this. -danka913
...well on here grammer doesn't matter; however that isn't an excuse to keep shortening the word...for example...like-lik-lk...pretty soon sentences will look like this: my nm s nthn & I lk mdkps= my name is nathan and I like mudkips...
Also, most people don't use the semi-colon when they should! Most people don't even know where/when to use it, or even what it is! (If you don't know...=_=...this is a Semi-Colon ";"...and this is a Elipsis "…"
Also, people who don't capitalize their I's or use this→'← when they are supposed to (I say "Hello, I'm Trevon", they say "hello im trevon"
Grammar FTW! I only use a few abreviations that aren't so bad, for example BTW, LOL, TTYL, BRB, IKR, IDK, IDC, ILY, ETC. and that's about it...
Another thing I noticed is when people don't put question marks! Many times I have been confused as to if someone was telling me something or asking it.
Another thing (I could go on) is overuse of punctuation (example: Umm..........................IDK LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLL XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a veteran while the subject is multiple languages, i know french, spanish, portuguese (my lang.), and actually, learning english all by myself, o.e yeah...i feel 'obliged' to have a good grammar at least at comments and emails...but it has nothing to do with the way i type in chtrooms...btw i get alot of trouble with that sometimes..ppl think i am a kid because of a word! o.e
I'll agree. Not only that, but it makes it impoosible to know what your talking about somes. Seriously, people, what's so hard about typing out what you need to say with correct grammar and spelling? I mean, it doesn't need to be spot on, but make it decent enough to read. The text talk gets really annoying and frustrating sometimes.
