I've been noticing the large influx of new members since the TMJ Demo, and I just want to remind everyone about some things they should do:
1. Don't be rude to new members.
2. Help them if you can.
3. Tell them some of the rules, so they aren't banned from not knowing this is a site kids use, too.
4. tell them the basic "/help" - it was a miracle maker when I first joined.
5. Don't do bad things in front of them. - We don't want them to take after people who've been perma-banned.
6. Make sure they know what lag is, so they realize they're not just being ignored.
7. Don't call them noobs.
So far, no one I've seen has gone against these rules, but I just want to make sure everyone knows this is how I feel the site should work.
Thanks for reading! Comment with ideas and opinions!
I agree. But maybe these new people shouldn't be so rude to people who have been here longer than them. We all have our inside jokes and they don't need to judge us. I mean, I used to spell differently because of a joke I would always spell "You" "Yew" And someone comes up to me (New person) And calls me raceist. How is saying "Yew raceist? And that kinda got on my nerves. Other than those certain few people I actully follow those rules. Good blog.
