I was watching the news earlier in my classroom, like I do every morning, and I heard the reporter mention some stuff about it. This is from, "Channel One News," or something like that.
They said that some people believe that when kids under the age of 18 buy violent games, it basically rots their brains. As in, encourages them to go out and actually kill people like they do in video games or be violent. But games aren't supposed to be taken that seriously, and it's only common sense.
Although, even without the violent video games, kids are already exposed to this violent crap on the media almost all the time. Banning video games wouldn't really help discourage violence that much. Maybe a little bit though. But seriously?
Some people argue that it is unconstitutional to ban rights from video games like that. I'm not sure about that one though...
It's been proven to be many things. Environment, Genetics, Heredity, etc. I'm accepting this, because it's a very controversial topic & I think, it's good to get other's point of views on these topics out there.
