Hello! Welcome to the introductory lesson of Japanese! ^_^
If you have any questions please let me know.
In this lesson, I will cover:
Leaving/Returning Home
Before/After a Meal
Leaving/Returning Home
These are phrases you say to your family when you leave from and return to your household.
Ittekimasu: You say this form of good-bye when you leave your house. It literally means "I will go and come back".
Itterasshai This is the response to ittekimasu. It literally means "Please go and come back".
Tadaima: This is what you say when you return home. Kinda like "I'm home!".
Okaeri nasai: The response to tadaima. It's like saying "Welcome home".
Before/After a Meal
These are phrases you use before and after you eat a meal.
Itadakimasu: Kind of like saying grace, you say this phrase before you eat a meal.
Gochisousama: Also like grace, you say this phrase after you eat a meal.
Please be the look out for Basic Japanese Learning (Intro. Part 3) which includes:

@Astra Moon: Indeed. At first I was like, “This is too hard.” Later and later, I was like “DANG! THIS IS FREAKING FUN!” I wanted more and my teacher started laughing and we became great friends.
@PokeNerd: Lolz!

This seems like a cool idea for fans of the Japanese language...I've heard it can be quite a difficult language to learn, & ESPECIALLY to write. lol.
