Ok, so tonight I had walked into the chatroom, into the biggest roleplay of violence scene i have ever seen, i politly asked them to stop, some did, but other however, whos names i will not list, decided to patronize me by argueing for 10-15 minutes about how either they were right and i was wrong, or how they outnumbered me, or how i was an idiot, or how i was out of line in correcting them, or how i have no authority, or how im jst a lowly pinkmin, or how i have no chat powers, or how they really wernt doing anything wrong, or how all are created equal, so i have no right to complain, or how its not in /rules, etc. etc. etc.
I hope all of you realsize how rude this is, you all know who you are. I do not take kindly to being patronized. I felt the conversation was wrong, end of story.
It doesn't. But the /rules command is not Law. Admins can say no to anything at their desgresion. If an admin feels a chat is wrong, he/she can end it, even if it isn't in /rules. Get over it.
i always have this attitude with people i dont know and/or don't like. anyway yes i know not everyone's going to be peaceful in a chat, but we can still at least try.
@tory: while i wasn't there,[And this is NOT Flaming, by any means] it seems admins tend to group up, into the busiest chat, which makes sense. but, when the other chats start filling up, they stay in the 1st one, w/5 at a time, i've seen...
accepted, reason: I know to some joking &/or RPing about violence can be disturbing, hurtful, offensive, bothersome, or bring back bad memories. While I try to lighten things slightly by keeping shooting & stabbing related violence out of chat, I also stop all violence if I notice or am toldthat some are uncomfortable in chat. The purpose of chat mods is to make the room comfortable for ALL.
