Narwhal-san here with a FAQ:
What makes a n00b?

Well i'm not an expert, but i'm certantly not a n00b. So here's some explanations for what a n00b is...

~

n00b: Term used on the internet to show ones...uh... New-ness (or something) to a group, game, or website. Short for Newbie.

On Dsipaint, a n00b is somebody who:

Is cocky in chatrooms.
Uses innapropriate language.
Trolls on people.
Starts drama.
Gets banned frequently.
Has "New member" level.
Hasn't tried the dsipaint application AT LEAST once.
Doesn't know who Hullbreach is. (BIG ONE&uarr
"Last logged in" is the same as "Member since". (BIGGEST ONE)

So people, dont be a Noob, Be at LEAST a "secret" member.

p.s.
It says Im a member since not too long ago on my profile, But i've been around dsipaint since febuary last year. On my old profile, I was a SUPER noob. So I ended up being perma'd. please. Don't be a noob.

I am definantly NOT a newbie (Jan. 2010). But I consider a newbie as someone who dates online or cybers. HUGE NEWBIE ALERT. Lord save us. o.o

No, he's saying that if you want to put yourself on top of the rightness pyramid by saying you're an '09 SDK-er, then you must PROVE that your account[s] is made IN '09. People can get full of themselves.

Ok, official rule: To be considered a '09 SDKer any of your ACCOUNT(s) Must have the creation date before '10. In case of a different account you must prove you own it but made a new one because of a valid reason.

You sure as hell haven't been around since February '09, that's for sure. Your take on "N00bs" is not all that accurate, I'm not feeling you really hit the nail on the head.

That's not noob, that's NEWB, which is short for newbie.

Noob is usually just a derogatory term for someone who fails, for lack of a better term.
