I was farming today when I saw a burning light in the distance. I looked at it and realised it was a fire. I thought 'could it be the rebels?' Then I heard the noise. It hit me like a shockwave. The screams. The shouts. There was a purple haze surounding where I looked and... above there was a purple mass. I shouted to my sons to get inside and looked up again and realised - it was a spaceship. These... things were dropping from it... small, inhuman things. I shouted to my sons again and turned to see them. But all I saw was a tall, yellow monster where they had stood. I fled for my life. I ran for the truck. These were no rebels. They were monsters. I got into the truck and drove. I drove as fast as I could. I got to my friend's house and jumped inside. And that's when it hit me. They weren't monsters. They weren't rebels.
They were the Covenant.
