Actually, kinect is a completly different project that xbox had been perfecting for a while. Kinect was not deprived from Wii, kinect is not like Wii what so ever, Kinect doesnt break tvs, kinect is a microphone, camera, controller, kinect can even recognize who you are when you walk in the room, please show me anything Wii has that is semi-impressive. Xbox is bringing a browser of its own as well, and its onlylike what 20x more powerful then Wiis....... Get up

I have all 3, I live with a family of 6, a 5 year old girl, 11 year old bro, me 15, 16 year old sis, moms 31 (ya young), dads 31 (yes young). Our wii is just collecting dust, my Xbox is always on, me and my lil bro play battlefield/gears/halo/COD/Dead rising/island... must I go on. My mom and big sis plays lips/dance cenral. My dad is obsessed with NBA 2k11 (loves Jordan). Lil sis plays Hole in the wall, Kinectimals, and we all play kinect sports 2. The wii is such a peace of crap that we havnt used it for months. Our PS3 is starting to get used a lil bit (now that the networks secure) but only to play COD with my other friends. The Wii is too old. I do like that 3DS though, my lil bro got one and I kinda like it.

Another Wii Vs. PS3 Topic: Backwards Compatibility. Tthat has ALWAYS been a rather large plus when introducing a new System to the market. The PS3 is no longer capable of Backwards Compatibility. I say "No Longer", because the 1st version of the PS3 was able to play PS1/PS2 Games as well. Sadly, Sony had too many "$$$"'s in their eyes, and eradicated that feature in later editions.

The Wii is capable of playing GameCube Games[which there are a great number of], and in turn, technically,[w/ help from the GameBoy Player Accesory], the GameCube is Backwards Compatible with the entire GameBoy Family. Nintendo has always made sure that your old games were still worth something whenever a new system comes out, because they know not everyone's gonna grab $200, and go buy a Wii.

Microsoft has been a Computer Software/[and I think]Hardware company. They did not invent the internet, but created [the highly crud-tastic] Internet Explorer, a Web Browser.

@Hull: Very true, I remember reading that a while back. Also, in conjunction w/ their "Loce Hotels", they had a "Love Taxi" Service that primarily took people to the Hotels.

Thus, Nintendo has not always been "Strictly Gaming".

meh, in my opinion, i think Sony should stuck with TV's. Microsoft, well, they are normally into the computer buisness, and they happened to strike gold with the 360. Nintendo has been a strictly game buisness, and has stayed like that forever. So all buisnesses have their ups and downs, bu i personally think that Microsoft and nintendo both beat Sony.

I think Sony is doing the best right now.
The PS3's features exceed all of the Wii's, Blu-ray, the browser, etc.
Xbox's LIVE is costly but the PS3's costs none. That's a good reason to get a PS3 versus a Xbox 360.
The Wii's family games may be hurting it's reputation. Go into a market's Wii games section, and you will see a ton of half-made games selling at super low prices. They still make profit.
The Wii's updates are only for destroying Homebrew. They've been doing behind the scenes updates for as long as I can remember.

Nintendo was one of the first, Microsoft and Sony saw opportunity for money, jumped in. Nintendo also saved the gaming industry.

Wii: About 5 min
PS3: About 4 hours
see the difference? Also wii and ps3 are mw2 and wii is black ops so that might say something :p

Whoa what is all this? Right away I see that you put the 3DS up against the PS3. You can't compare those! Also, the Wii may not allow DVD movies but it still allows Netflix which has practically every DVD movie and TV show out there.

Microsoft:
Well, the online service for xbox live is fantastic but it is thrown down many times because you must pay for internet, something you already pay for in the first place. About XBOX having top rated games, I would like to share an article on ign.com about exclusives for each console. Compare the Wii to the Xbox(http://ps3.ign.com/articles/114/1142051p1.html). Also about the Xbox destroying sales by almost doubling the sales of the Wii, you have that backwards. The Wii sold nearly twice as much as the Xbox did in 2009(http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/5859/2009-year-on-year-sales-and-market-share-update-to-nov-7th/).

Nintendo:
Ok you are right about the firend codes, I hat 'em too but I don't particularly agree with what else you have to say. First, I don't think that the fact that many users on DSiPaint won't get a 3DS is very negative against Nintendo because the users on DSiPaint only represent a small fraction of all the DS owners. Nintendo has been very successful in the past and have sparked widespread knowledge of this crazy idea to everyone. A lot of people know about the 3DS and I think it will definitely sell extremely fast. Now going to where you say that 360 and PS3 can be family game consoles. This isn't all that true, though. Those consoles may have family games but that doesn't mean they're family consoles. See, the Wii is a family console because it has something for everyone, gamer or not, but the PS3 and 360 mainly targeted to the teen and older crowd because of the large number of mature games and massive social networking capabilities.

Now don't take this comment as rudely correct your mistakes but rather as me including my perspective of this article.

Astra - Nintendo have made playing cards since the 1890s. They also owned some sleazy hotels in the 1960s or so. One thing that gave Nintendo an early presence outside Japan was the Disney-themed playing cards. You can get Nintendo character ones through Club Nintendo yet.

It's hard to rate, I prefer nitendo, but you have to remember, Sony & Microsoft is a bit more advanced, not only that, but their electronics extend to more then just games, where as nitendo, (I beieve) is strictly games.
