This blog is going to focus on reviewing last year, carrying over from this blog, written on 26 Dec 2009. I will write another blog with goals for 2011.

Statistics
Active Paintings:
Then: 10,000
Now: 42,500

Chatroom Count
Then: 6
Now: 11 (plus hosting)

Chatroom Activity
Then: 40-50 at a time max
Now: 60-70 at a time max
Record: 82 in Chatroom Event for the Saviis launch party

Visits per Day (DSiPaint)
Then: 1700
Now: 5000
Record: 7723 (16 Oct)

Then: 13,000

Original 2010 Goals

1. Allow admins to recommend other members to be admins through their profiles.
Status: Originally done but removed later

2. Lock certain avatars to specific members.
Status: Added custom chatroom commands

3. Link to DSiPaintings from profiles
Status: Added in the Level of Awesomeness area

4. Allow longer length bans for offensive members.
Status: Went the other way: Several bots issue a warning then do a short ban with no admins needed in the chatrooms.

5. Blog ratings
Status: Incomplete

6. Blog categories
Status: Done

7. DSiPainting comments
Status: Incomplete

8. Tabbed chatrooms for PMs
Status: Incomplete

Other 2010 Goals

Finish TMJ
Status: Several more demos arrived, but I decided to wait for the Nintendo 3DS for the final game. Plus, unoriginal artwork and lack of interest from team members created major set-backs. Let's shoot for 2011!

Migrate to a New Server
Status: I migrated the websites from shared hosting at FastDomain to a virtual cloud server at RackSpace. After only a few weeks, I doubled the server size. A few weeks later, I doubled it again. Then on Christmas Day, I doubled it again. Let's see how long this holds into 2011!

As you can see, there have been numerous changes on DSiPaint.com, but all websites have received upgrades. Since the vast majority of activity has been by members using DSiPaint.com, the other websites may seem to have been left behind.

Overall, this has been a great year for the community, and I am glad to have been part of it. I would like to hear everyone's comments on the last year, relating to any of these websites. Please save idea for 2011 for the follow-up blog.

The past 11 months I've been here have been awesome. This site is perhaps the most fun site I've been on yet, and maybe the best Dsi site ever.
2010 was fun altogether, but I have a feeling that 2011 will be even better.

I remember comming here sometime in March and meeting everyone. Alot of the people I met left but a few have remained active. And I've seen the website evolve from March I mean March of last there was only 6 chatrooms, blogs and a couple of games and profiles and i'm sure i'm forgetting stuff but that's the main stuff! It's been great here! Thanks Hull!

Wow...when I come to think of it, Dsipainthas changed alot since I first stepped into the chatroom saying "Lol whats a hullbeach" or "I wnt adminshp!!" Thanks hull!

Well, honestly I guess this is old member's (veterans) Role, to comment about 2010, or 2009

but ok here i go

I noticed, since this site was created since the very first weeks, Everyone, members (and admins, that came later.) Showed pretty much of interested, we don't know why? may its mutual feeling XD

Daniel has been doing his best to support this site, With upgrades, server upgrades, he even bought a computer ONLY for designing this site, the result?

• A Vast sea of new members coming every week, every day, every hour, begining of 2010, everything started to change FOR REAL, and No, i am not only talking about the people in the chatrooms, taking the BB's as example: at the start, it was...not very active Why? Lacking of active Members. But today, Man, Everytime you check them, they have new posts, Threads, and admins are doing a very good role taking care of everything (Hallianne thumbs up, i see she is very competent moderating the BBs)

2010 was The big change between the Old, and new DSiPaint, Receiving security updates, chatroom updates, the Admin's Eye chatroom Ninja, new Admin commands

and the oh so valuable ones...Profile updates! that unlike 2009, made each user see their profiles as their "Home" here, and now with Daniel's hardworked custom tags you can show who you are better, not only with texts, but images, colors, and profile ornaments. A Well designed profile is a well taken care house.

in 2010,Yobonja and Daniel joined forces and made us great Games for the DSi browser we can't forget our friend Yobonja we expect more games ein? =]

I have some important stuff to state about admins, in 2009, a primary Admin staff was selected Most of them got de-admined and some resulted in eventually permabans, ones like Timodachi, JABINATOR, Gamertjr stick with us. But some bad ones sliped across this "cleaning" and well, this resulted in months of abuses o.e"

until some people got screenshots and finished them.

This is great, really gives the people a feel for how awesome tis site is. I remember coming here a year and a few months ago, there wasn't much to look at, now, i's been improved 10 fold. Hopefully to be improved far beyond this point. I'd like to thank you HullBreach for all your time and dedication to this site, and giving us a place to hang out, and meet new people.
