The Nintendo 3DS Operating System will feature several perks, compared to the Nintendo DSi/XL systems, for example, we will be able to edit the brightness from the menu, the browser will not be a regular icon, it will apparently be already pre-installed (no need to download) in a bar upside the regular icons, also, a notepad, pictochat and maybe the camera had the same fate.
The Nintendo 3DS Operating system was very beautifully made, we can see in a Japanese promotional video each time you click a icon, different 3D images will appear upside, and with the 3D effect on ...you can imagine the fun now, i guess ;P
Upside we can see different little icons displaying different informations, there is a Internet icon, 2 footsteps and numbers near it (the pedometer) the brightness level (?) in the picture saying 1/8 (lowest light of 8 ) or the date, and of course, the time and battery power.
Last-minute informations and without too much resources point that the Nintendo 3DS will have a battery life of up to 3.5/8 hours while playing a 3DS game, this information is from a person who appeared in a Nintendo event and tested the battery life, the screen brightness wasn't revealed, but apparently it is between the lowest and highest, however, the battery time jumps to 5 to 8 hours while playing a Nintendo DS game in the same condition.
The battery life will depend of your primary settings, like the internet connection always connected/off and maybe the 3D depth level.
Thanks 3DS Buzz for the BATTERY Information (used with permission.)
Last but not last the nintendo 3ds game card, supporting 2Gb at launch and in a near future will probably support up to 8Gb, which is the Xbox games memory limit.
tthe Ipod touch is just another apple device that does "everything" with cheapness.
the "iPod" started as a Music/Media device and now it just another generic portable apple device -.-"
It doesn't have buttons, "start" - "select", i DOES NOT have a gaming card / cd slot, All you can do is DOWNLOAD games, just like the DSiWare.
the ipod touch isn't a godamn gaming device, it run games like any other stupid cell phone, smart phone, laptop, PC,
But it isn't a gaming device, it is not even inside the handheld gaming market, who will buy an iPod touch for PLAYING games instead of a DS DO NOT aim games as main objective.
DIMO - if the iPod touch was a gaming device i would get it instead of a 3DS,
sadly,
the iPod touch doesn't have a gaming device design, i am talking of the shoulder buttons, d-pad, analog control, and other things a gaming device SHOULD have.
if you say the damn games you get on your ipod touch make it a gaming device, my condolences.
In my opinion for the bottom screen I say that :
1- Notepad
2-Pictochat
3-Messages
4-Browser
5-Brightness
6-Changes the layout of your menu-from Standard Dsi/XL menu to what you see there
