The ak-47 is the Insurgency team weapon equivalent to coalition's m16a1, with a slightly more powerful fire power and greater recoil, good for close to mid ranged fights, long ranged fights with this weapon is almost impossible, using "nerves of steel" OR "steady aim" will raise its accuracy, one different thing i noticed is that using nerves of steel or steady aim will help with the aim down sight mode accuracy, slightly less with "steady aim" in ADS but remember steady aim will help with the standard aim as well, in other weapons it may look worthless in ADS but with the ak-47 it will offer a considerable help, good for beginners since the nerves of steel is a advanced perk.

The m16a1 is the equivalent coalition weapon to the ak-47, with a slightly weaker fire power, better accuracy and slightly slower reload, using the perk stopping power makes the m16a1 a very good weapon for long ranged fights, a few shots and he is down, for who like to play without ads in some occasions, as the m16a1 is very accurate without ads among assault rifles and machine guns "steady aim" may help, and you won't miss great part of the shots if your target is close enough.
The aim-down-sight is well accurate but a little hard to use, walking with it turned on may be a problem for beginners.
