Some people were wondering about the Nintendo 3DS incredible weak battery and its power hungry, "3 to 5 hours in weakest brightness and wireless off": FALSE, actually, confirmed by nintendo's president the nintendo 3DS will be able to handle 3 hours gameplay in max brightness, full 3D
But thats not all, the nintendo 3DS screen will feature a power saving ability, which when the screen becomes dark the brightness will become darker itself, this will give us 20 to 40 minutes of extra battery power with maximum brightness and 3D.
Which is in a way very close and even slightly greater than the Nintendo DSi battery time, taking in consideration the 3D takes a lot of power and its a graphically enhanced hardware
"Employing a technology called "active backlight," this feature "precisely controls the brightness of the backlight according to the brightness of the screen being displayed," Umezu explained. "When the screen as a whole is dark, the backlight itself gets darker, which saves power." "
If you have a DSi and you don't have problems with its battery life, then it will be almost the same thing with the 3DS!
hmm now i may get this day one! actually, wouldve gotten it anyway. just reinforced it and the life at max dont matter, i normally play at lowest brightness. ill probably hav 3D set to min (barely not off)
The nintendo 3DS has a regular charger just like the DSi DethDude, this means you can play it while charging, plus, it is compatible with DSi's charger but i guess it will take longer to charge...
It comes with the charging cradle for you to put your 3DS in sleep mode and keep putting it in the cradle when you are not using it, easier charging method, but it includes the regular charge in the box.
Raphael@ Whats wrong? it is basically the same battery life the DSi has
Really nice! I like how you are giving the news to everybody about the 3DS battery. But what i know about the 3DS is, you can't play it while charging. Well i think? I need too look at that?
