We flew for a time scowering the ground for Reo. Footprints made by a heavy pair of mail boots could be seen etched in the snow. "There!" Darin finally exclaimed. Sure enough, Reo trudged along in the snow seemingly unhindered by the frigid cold I so longed to feel again. He collapsed suddenly and we slowly made or decent down to him. I heard a wizzing above us and I looked up. A giant cloud of arrows was falling at us. Their source was unseen and the group instinctivley dove faster towards the ground. The arrows were raining down on us and Zofrin was hit. Leviden jumped off his back and and began to free fall. Darin's proto-drake was hit in its soft underbelly and limply tumbled through the air and plunged deep into the snow.. I flattened myself against Nightwhisper who tucked in his wings and spun down faster.
The wave of arrows suddenly ceised and Nightwhisper landed gracefully. I dismounted and looked around. Darin sat up quickly and cried, "Bronzeblade! NO!" His dragon lay sprawled out unmoving. Darin was left unscathed. Leviden stood and attended her minor wounds quickly and ran to Zofrin who had three arrows jutting from his left arm. She ripped them out and mended him. Afterwards, Leviden came to Reo and kneeled beside him. I did the same and looked him over. Nothing looked wrong.
"He has infection of some sort," she said. Healing was apparently one of her specialties. "The fever made him collapse." The ground rummbled again and yet another crevass opened not far from the group.
"Why does Deathwing come now?!" Zofrin yelled. He was refering to the one sent to destroy Azeroth. Not many of us yet new his motive. He was causing the earthquakes across the world, not just in Northrend.
Reo sat up and looked around. He was breathing heavily and sweat trimmed his elongated brow. He stood and ran to the crevass and dived into its dark depths. Darin looked over from attending his deceased dragon. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." And he too lunged in.
