Hello folks! Today I will teach to make a delicious Jewish dish: Matza-Bri! What is Matza, you say? Well, a long, long, time ago (in a galaxy far, far away) In Egypt, the Jewish slaves were ordered to go away from Egypt. The Jews were baking bread, but didn't have enough time to, since the Pharoah wanted them out right away. So they put it on their backs, and walked away. Matza today is like a large, yummy cracker. Now, on to the instructions!
Step 1: Get your hands on 1 ( or 2) boxes of salted Matza.
Step 2: Crack two or three eggs in a large bowl.
Step 3: Add a little milk in said bowl.
Step 4: Run your sink tap, make sure it's room temperature.
Step 5: Put Matza under the water, and wet it until it's pretty soft. Drain the water from the Matza(turn it until it's a diamond)
Step 6: Crack the Matza in half, again and again until you can't. Put it into the bowl.
Step 7: Mix well.
Step 8: Repeat step 5, 6, and 7 until there is no egg left.
Step 9: Heat a large pan on LOW setting.
Step 10: Put a quarter of a stick of butter on the pan, make sure it's melted well on the pan.
Step 11: Pour all the Matza from the bowl onto the pan.
Step 12: Toss and turn the Matza until it's cooked well (like your making scrambled eggs). Make sure it isn't totally brown.
Step 13: Add maple syrup, pepper, salt, etc.
Step 14: Enjoy!
This dish has been in my family since forever. My dad and I make it occasionally, and it's very delicious. Happy cooking!
