Napoleon was the Emporer of France, he started out in a millitary school and later rose through the ranks quite quickly. When he was the leader he started conquering Europe.
But then he was defeated and banished to a remote island, somehow he manged to escape and return to France. When he was there he re-gathered his men. The British however wanted Napoleon gone for good.
So they formed an alliance with loads of countries to stop Napleon, the British Commander's name was 'The Duke of Wellington'. Napoleons plan was to defeat the different armies separetly. First he striked the Prussian army, this delayed them for a bit.
Then Napoleon marched to Waterloo. There was many reasons why Napoleon lost this epic battle, we'll find the main reason in a while.
Wellington ordered his best troops to crawl in the cornfields then pop-up and shoot Napoleons men. Wellington knew he might have to retreat so he left an escape route. It was a long and gory battle, they were both evenly matched.
All of a sudden the Prussian army arrived and flanked Napoleons troops. This time Napoleon was banished to an Island with NO escape, eventually he died. So in the end peace was restored to Europe thanks to the Prussian army.
