38 years old, 3 times the best of the world, Ronaldo, also known as "Fenomeno" Which means something near "Legendary", until today morning was a great and skilled soccer player.
Ronaldo won his first balon D'or as european footballer of the year, aged only 21, in 1997.
he also established a record, the record fee of $17 Million in 1996-1997 Barcelona paid for having the great footballer on its team, he scored 47 goals in 49 games in that season.
He experienced multiple problems with his health during his carrer, the first problem in 1998, he had a convulsion but recovered himself and ended the match beating the French 3 x 0, last problem in feb 2008, the 8th knee injury.
With a total of 8 knee injuries, and multiple surgeries, Ronaldo's career was marked by horrible problems, but he always overcame, despite how hard it was.
In the Brazilian TV, morning 14 Feb, Ronaldo apologized multiple times, and said he just couldn't play as before, he wasn't able to run like before, he also said he stood this Friday, Saturday and Monday alone at home thinking, and concluded it was time to stop.
This is the hand of Corinthian's president, in the interview, once, ronaldo referred to him as his brother, in this moment, he was almost crying when he said the exact words "[...]I...I would like to publicly apologize...for...[...]".
The last team he played in was Corinthians, which was early eliminated in the latest "Libertadores da America" cup.
This blog is in his tribute, for his great work and for being a humble person, a person with a great hearth, not only loved by his incredibly work as a footballer but for his multiple overcomings, i would like to add as a personal note, that i am Brazilian and I cheer for the last team Ronaldo played in.
No details were given but he said will invest his money in a factory and everything is already set up.
