Pikmin a real time strategy series by Nintendo a recently new IP other than SteelDiver. The series has had two games Pikmin and Pikmin 2 the goal of the games is to gather pikmin little creatures that grow after bringing objects to the one of the pikmin mother ships(onions), after you gather the pikmin you have to explore the area looking for lost parts from you ship and every time you find a part it will soon later let you go to other areas and explore and every area has some sort of enemy or obstacle that you need to face with a different type of pikmin from red to blue(other types exist in Pikmin 2), with the main things out of the way you have to finish finding the parts with in 30 days or your character Capitan Olimar dies due to the poisonous oxygen.
Later on Pikmin and Pikmin 2 got a port to the Nintendo Wii giving it support for the Wii remote giving it better control, with these games using the function it shows how it will be implemented in Pikmin 3. In 2007 Miyamoto had an interview with IGN saying that we haven't seen the last of Pikmin which an uproar about Pikmin 3 sure followed after it. Later on in a Nintendo Latin magazine Miyamoto explained that Pikmin 3 was going to be on the Wii and that the Wii controls were working well. Neither E3 2009 or 2010 shown Pikmin 3 but June 2010 Miyamoto explained that is was still in development.
With no Pikmin 3 info anytime soon which is worse than The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, there will be a dormant state for Wii owners this year in the Summer waiting for Pikmin 3 and Zelda. If there's no new info on Pikmin 3 then Nintendo could be stuffing all they could into the game which could either make it a trilogy or putting the series on a long hiatus. With the GDC (Game Developers Conference) coming Nintendo could expose Pikmin 3 and make fans think E3 2010 was a bark of a puppy and GDC a howl of a wolf.
Bring your Pikmin 3 hope to the comments!
