When the meteor hit, Many people and pokémon died in the blast. And as if the tragedy of Goldenrod wasn't enough, the meteor released a gas - a deadly strand of Pokévirus that spread like wildfire throughout Johto. In order to send medicine, the magnet train was repaired. Soon though, it had to be reclosed as contaminated trains, Machamps, people and other pokémon returned and spread the virus. This didn't stop it coming for even a second. Within a month, Kanto was consumed. From the far reaches of Sinnoh, people watched as the virus spread - ever closer to their homes.
