Oh yeah guys, Nintendo was at the GDC 2011 event, where the iPad2 was unveiled and set to launch in 11th of this month heh, also Mr. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata talked about the 3D video recording which he posteriorly said it was an welcome feature and now its confirmed, the 3DS will receive a firmware update which will add the ability for recording 3D movies.
And talking about firmware, this week the nintendo 3DS units in japan received a firmware update automatically via the SpotPass feature, and with it:
- Improved system stability More comfortable way to enjoy, and will improve the overall stability of the system.
- Updating communications capabilities We extend some of the ability to receive data, such as Oshirase.
- Improved network connectivity And other wireless Internet access in some Nintendozon, sometimes can not communicate it made measures.
- “3D images of live music ” added Delivering music is “Super Mario Brothers Theme” in, O. Kondou Hiroshi was responsible for the Super Mario series composer (piano) is playing with studio musicians (music video).
No reports on a block to the current working flashcards, but i heard rumors of people getting their 3DS system "bricked" in japanese forums, anything concrete tough.
Ok, even tough Steven Jobs and his fruit company stole almost all the public with the awesome iPad2, Nintendo made some interesting reveals, including that the 3DS will support NetFlix, coming soon in a firmware update, for who don't know, NetFlix lets you watch TV programs and movies and will probably feature 3D content for the 3DS please note that this is a paid service, 8$ per month for unlimited content. (for USA only)
Nintendo also revealed a new mario game coming exclusively for the 3DS, new OoT screenshots and release date! June

Apparently he said a lot of stuff about Apple's gaming market, and he said things about the NGP as well, i found in more than 1 site that he said the 3D video recording is coming on a firmware update.
Gleeok, I haven't found anywhere that mentions the 3D video recording being confirmed. I did read a while back in an Iwata Asks interview that Iwata thinks it would be interesting to see eventually. Where did you find the confirmation to this?
