That person's skin is a different color, this person's religious practices & beliefs are different, that person is physically handicapped, while this person is mentally handicapped, yet again, this person has an accent, while that person is attracted to the same sex. We all know someone who falls under one of these categories above. A category that people look at & laugh, such as physically & mentally handicapped people, or that people even try to hurt, such as people of a different religion, race, nationality, or gender preferance. Adolf Hitler killed hundreds of thousands of Jewish people, based on discrimination. We had slavery & segregation, still have the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). We had the burning times (example: Salem Witch Trials). Everdayday we hear of hate crimes against people for being gay, & as for muslims outside their native countries, such as America, since 9/11, quite frankly, they're looked at & treated atrociously! I just don't understand the concept behind this reasoning. When you break it all down, we are are peaces of each other. We lash out at each other, hurt each other. But, we are all of 1 race-HUMAN Why is it so hard for a person to look at someone & see them as a human, instead of seeing them as sick because they're attracted to them same gender, or bad because they're a different color? No matter what you're color, religion, nationality, handicap, gender preferance, etc. we all bleed when we're wounded. We cry when someone hurts us. We all need basics in life to survive. So why? Why make it so complicated & get hate involved? Why is it necessary? Just a thought...
Hey canadians are also over there.. but only because the US likes to threaten us -.-'
And where did you hear he was dead from? I don't know why we can't just wait for him to die of old age lol. What does this even have to do with the blog.
One thing that's really sad & rediculous is the situation with muslims. It was BIN LADEN that collapsed them Twin Towers, but now everyone of muslim/arab descent has to deal with jeers & laughs, people being violent with them; simply because BIN LADEN was of muslim descent. People's thoughts are that since he was muslim & wanted Americans dead, then muslims all do. But it's not the case at all.
It's human instinct that dated back to thousands of years ago. When we see something "uncanny," something similar to what we know to be but not quite identical, we automatically shun it or are judgemental, as our brain percieves this as more of a threat than it would to something completely different.
Due to its long implementation in human instinct, and the fact that we've only been a tolerant species for less than a century, we're gonna have to do an awful lot o' living before it fades away. In fact, since humans are just about done with evolution, it may never go. This is because these days just about everyone has an equal chance to live, no matter physical or mental ability.
