Hello miscreants users of DSiPaint. Lately, I've been hearing some of our older users (including myself), speak of the "Golden Age" of DSiPaint (or as it was mainly known as then, SDK), roughly meaning the summer of 2009. Admittedly, SDK at that time was better in some ways, depsite lacking several of the features the site now has, such as BBs, Saviis, etc. Many of the newer users don't understand why many of us miss that time period.

Back in summer '09, we had a bunch of new and awesome users join the site. Users such as AngelGothGirl, Ark Angel, Nintendude, rykeman (Mr. Famous himself ), Divine Crusader, IronShadow, JABINATOR and LaBorracha, among many other, joined in this span of time. With the site gaining some cool, new members, it isn't too surprising that many long for it.
Another great thing about that time was that everyone seemed to know each other, whether through SDK or DSiCade. We had fun chatting with each other, which is easier to during the summer. It also helped that things like the then-interesting Flipnote Hatena was releasing soon, and I remember much speculation there was about its launch date. So many fake dates were spread around. T^T
There also seemed to be less hostility between members, other than DSiPaint vs. DSiCade blood baths discussions of course. xD

As time went on, many more joined the ranks, like Halliane. Hull, of course, never failed to make us happy with his improvements to the site (he perma'd all the noobs.) As '09 was drawing to a close, we lost some memebers, which was sad, but we got other cool members too.

Basically, while the "Golden Age" was truly an epic time to be on the site (it was a "you had to be there" thing), I do like the site now. We've been given many improvements and some awesome new members. Now, let's all try and make this year a year to remember too.
