This isn't a "kids these days" rant, but an "everyone these days" rant. It happens throughout society today, and it's called political correctness.

Political correctness (for those who don't know) is rewording in order to avoid offending people. For example (and, take note, this is extreme), let's say you call someone a nut. Now, in political correctness, this would be frowned upon as it would offend nuts like peanuts, walnuts, etc. In many cases, it attempts to justify terribly wrong views.

So, look at it in two lights. Being politically correct will attempt to ease those of subject, but it also takes away free speech. Not to mention the fact that it generally puts higher priority on the nuts (see previous example) instead of you. Those are the basic sides of the issue, and you're welcome to post your views in the comments.

In my opinion, political correctness does take away from freedom of speech. Also, the government indoctrinates people with political correctness, which I believe is going too far. Government in my country, the United States, was made to be run by the people, not the government running the people. I could go on into another rant on that, but I'll make it end here.
