You’ve learned not to trust TVs with strange faces on them so you continue to lay there. Though boring, it may be the smartest thing to do right now. You fell like you need some more rest from all the walking from yesterday anyway. Your stomach reminds you that you’re hungry with a growl but there’s nothing to eat nearby. After being reminded of how hungry you are you also notice you haven’t had water for about a day and a half. You decide it’s a good idea to look for water and getting away from the crazy TV is just an added bonus. You walk in the opposite direction of the TV and feel a lot more rested than you thought you were. You walk for no more than and hour and a half when you find a small stream about as wide as a 2x4 plank. It’s pretty deep for a stream and has a lot of water running through it. You live off the water for a few days and then prioritize finding food. You think there must be some kind of food here I mean, this is a huge field there must be something. You look around and only find endless rows of grass. You try eating the grass; it’s the only thing besides water around. When it hits the inside of your mouth it seems to soak up all of your saliva and any water that might be in there. It becomes very hard to swallow with your mouth so dry. There really must be nothing to eat. You conclude there must be some minerals or something in the water that has been nourishing you if you’ve survived these few days. Let’s hope the water has more than just minerals. Disappointed from the results of today’s search, you sleep more. A routine forms, wake up, drink water, search for food, drink more water, search more and sleep. You can feel the state of your body degrading over the course of the next few days. You constantly feel tired and weak. You loose muscle mass from the lack of protein. All of your bodily functions feel like they’re trying to kill you instead of help you. You have just finished your daily routine and you’re falling asleep. You wake up the next day, too weak to move. It was inevitable. I knew it and you knew it. This would end with starvation.
Your stomach screams in pain. You forget how many days it’s been since you tasted anything besides water. You feel dizzy and disoriented even though you’re lying down. You slowly close your eyes and take your eternal sleep.
