My Interview with Astra Moon

How did you find out about DSiPaint?

I found DSiPaint, like many, through DSiCade. I saw the DSiPaint Demo, tried it, & was hooked. My 1 year anniversary on here is actually coming up, April 6.

What power that you don't already have do you want?

I don't have Terminator, but that's my next goal. I know it'll be a while before I get that though, it's the hardest to get, lol.

What is your favorite power?

My favorite power is probably a tie between BlogMod, because I love writing, & ChatMod, because I'm a 'by-the-book' type of person & I like to keep things neutral & safe.

So I've been hearing that there have been admin fights recently. How do you react to this and what do you think of it?

I don't react truthfully. I stay out of it because I'm friends with ALL of the admins. How do I feel? It saddens me that we're supposed to be an example, but yet we can't get along. In my opinion, we should at least try to be civil toward each other seeing as the one that they're fighting with might have a power they need use of at some point. We need to work together.

What was your most epic ban?

Honestly, I don't have any ban's I'd consider 'funny' or 'epic' because I don't use it like that. I ban only when needed.

When you see people complaining that [example =Bob]Bob became an admin before them, and they joined before Bob, how do you react?

Jealousy is a natural human feeling, I feel it at times myself. That anger they have, they're just trying to find some way to hide that jealousy. Knowing this, I just listen, offer my advice, & push it aside.

Do you think this website is in need of more admins?

I think Hull is doing a superb job with everything, including his admin choice. If he think we need more, that's up to him. Personally though, I think we have a lot of ChatMods. But again, if he feels we need more, it's up to him.

Why did you choose Astra Moon as your username?

My name is my spiritual name. I'm Wiccan, & my Spiritual name is actually Astra Moon which means, literally: Star, Moon.

If there are things you would like to correct other admins about, what are they?

The only thing I can think of is: I think instead of fighting & competing, & whatnot, it's detrimental to other younger people on this site to show them that we are good examples. We need to be good role models & try to work together. Even if it means being civil to one you happen to dislike.

When a new member enters a chatroom and says, "CAN I B COLERFL LIK U" and people say, "No, noob." Do you respond by helping the user, or do you go along with the crowd by calling him/her a noob and ignoring them?

Everyone is new at some point. You need to remember how clueless you were about things when you were new. Some people are just louder by nature, so they take that into chatrooms also, that's when you remain calm & explain the rules to them. Making fun of a person because of their personality flaws only makes us look bad as people.

Insta-bans are a problem at times, apparently. Let's say you just came back from a long day and came on here to chill, then a new member comes and breaks the rules. Do you insta-ban?

I only insta-ban for 1 reason: CYBERING, everything I warn for at least once, usually a couple more times. Though, I have made my share of bad decisions when over-tired, or in a particularly sour mood.

How did you feel when you were promoted to admin?

Ahhh, I got my first admin job a week before my birthday last year. ChatMod. It was short lived because I made a bad decision & was de-admined. I was lucky though, it was only a mild situation & I regained my ChatMod a few days later. I'm just thankful I got it back, & so quickly.

Sorry, not gonna accept it, while it is a good interview, we JUST HAD an interview with Astra from Lieutenant not even two weeks ago.

Too many interviews, not enough space.
