*Miss (under 20) = Fräulein (froy-lín)

How are you? = Wie geht's? (vee gayts)

Very well, thanks = Sehr gut, danke (zehr goot dahng-keh)

Thank you = Danke (dahng-keh)

Thank you very much = Vielen Dank (fee-lehn dahngk)

*My name is ____ = Ich heiße ____ ( ikh hí-seh)

*What's your name? = Wie heißen Sie? (vee hí-sehn zee)

Pleased to meet you! = Sehr erfreut! (zehr ehr-froyt)

Good bye = Auf Wiedersehen (owf vee-der-zayn)

*Good luck! = Viel Glück! (feel glewk)

Do you speak English? = Sprechen Sie Englisch? (shprehkh-ehn zee ehng-lish)

Yes/No = Ja/Nein (yah/nín)

I don't speak {good} German = Ich spreche nicht {gute} Deutsch (ikh shprehkh-eh nikht {goo-teh} doych)

I'm sorry = Es tut mir leid (ehs toot meer lít)

Please = Bitte (bit-teh)

Excuse me (to pass or to get one's attention) = Entschuldigung (ehnt-shool-dig-oong)

Your welcome = Bitte (bit-teh)

*Note: ß is not a B. It is a double s (ss) or "scharfes s" (sharp s).
Also, Ää, Öö, and Üü are called umlauts and have their own special, distinctive sound.
