Thank you very much = Vielen Dank (fee-lehn dahngk)
*My name is ____ = Ich heiße ____ ( ikh hí-seh)

Good bye = Auf Wiedersehen (owf vee-der-zayn)

*Note: ß is not a B. It is a double s (ss) or "scharfes s" (sharp s).
Also, Ää, Öö, and Üü are called umlauts and have their own special, distinctive sound.
