Laugh and play and frolic the fairy did in the flower patches here and there and yonder when a girl came about, and found her friend on a flower tuft in shade.
"Oh!" the girl had exclaimed in surprise at the sight of such elegance, for the creature she had found in the patch of green was neither human nor insect, but a fairy.
They fairy knew what she had gotten into when they girl raised her high into her arms and said "Hello friend will you play with me?"
The fairy grimaced in vain for the child had been caught in fit of delight at the thought of a friend.
And laugh and play the fairy did she frolicked in the flower patches to and fro with the human girl, dubbed best friend for life, forever and ever.
