I have recieved WAY too many complaints that hacking is illegal. Where the living hell did you get that?! Take it from a pro, Nintendo will NOT sue you for installing 3rd party software on your system. Hacking is illegal, but it COMPLETELY depends on WHAT you hack, and HOW you hack it. What I mean is that installing homebrew will not be illegal until Nintendo makes it official. HOWEVER. Wii Channel WADs are totally illegal, unless they were free to begin with. This is the same with ROMs and backups. Now that I've made it clear, have fun making up some other type of lie!

ehhh...yeah it does violate the systems waranty but it doesnt really matter much.
and wiki answers isnt all that reliable.

Okay, just for proof, I got this off of WikiAnswers:

Q: Is homebrew software illegal?

A: No. Provided no copyrighted software is used. Using Homebrew to play games you do not own is illegal. Using it to play backups of games you own is legal (in most countries).
