The 3ds is a great gadget for everyone. High definition visuals,3d visuals, and just the quality of the product. Nintendo was very successful in creating and selling this product. Millions were sold world wide. Many thousands were sold on March 27, 2011 in the United States of America. Selling at the price of $249.99 per unit, many thought it was a rip-off compared to the $169.99 of a DSI and the price of $250.00 for a 250 gigs of space on an xbox 360. To me the price was just right comparing the visuals to the xbox 360 and the PS3.
The Games:
As the 3DS evolves so does the great games
Super Street Fighter IV:
Street Fighter was fun. But without any desired unlockables like characters or maps. They were all given from the start. The game has great visuals and great 3d. But the gameplay is very repeatative. SSFIV has a figurine mode that is completely pointless. They are used for simulated fights via streetpass, but were i'm from, not many people have a 3ds or walk for that matter. The game features online play that is very fun. The users of this misuse online and hack for recovery of health. You barely stumble across anyone without that hack.
rating:8/10
Great visuals, bad gameplay.
Splinter Cell 3D:
Splinter Cell 3D is a great game for you who like the Splinter Cell series. Although it is a port from Tom Clancey's Splinter Cell chaos theory, it does have great replay value. The storyline is all about Sam Fisher trying to stop a horrible catastrophe that would spark WW3. As Splinter Cell fans know, Sam has changed over the past years from a silent killer, to a total badass. This game takes place during the silent killer era. The game is actually really good but it lacked any other modes then story mode. The game was a good one and I do suggest in the near future that you purchase a copy.
RATING:
8.6/10
Great storyline/ no other modes
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D:
Resident Evil is always badass and always will be. But this game is really not that good at all. The game is a Arcade based game, that means no storyline, no deletion of data, and replay value small. The game is based off of a Resident Evil bonus mode in RE4 and RE5 known as The Mercenaries. The objective of the game is to lead your protagonist into certain death. Although the game looked very good for the things close up, the distant enemies looked like something out of minecraft. The replay value is very high only beacuse all the game is replay. The online of this game is really fun. Team up with a friend and fend off infected. I do not suggest you get this game unless you have $40 to waste.
RATING:
3/10
Alright visuals, Replay too high/ no storyline/ Ok online
RIDGE RACED 3D:
They have one for every system you can think of. Even though the game is really bad. I suggest you buy the game and burn it so Namco can use the money to make a better racing game.
RATING: 1/10
No online/ replay value is none/ just a bad game overall
Resident Evil: Revelations:
The game takes Resident Evil back to its roots. Revelations is the bridge between RE4 and RE5. It tells the story of the big setup the BSAA pulled to bring down Morgan Lansdale, the man who gave Veltro the virus that Veltro used to take down Terrogrigia. The game is great game for RE fans as it gives Jill's mission before the incident with Wesker. The majority of the story takes place on The Queen Zenobia, a ship sailing randomly in the ocean. The Story does have other areas like snowy mountains, an abandoned airbase, and Terrogrigia. The Storyline was great, you will never get bored of it. But along with the storyline is a new minigame called Raid Mode. In raid mode, you take almost any character from the story and use them to go on a mission to eliminate BOW's from a selected place. This mode also has a cooperative online feature so you can get help from people around the world to help kill badies. The game also has a ranking system for you and enemies up to lv 50. Im currently lv 42 and proud of it. The game has the feel and look of a console game. I recommend it for everyone.
RATING 10/10
This Game is just pure greatness
Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D:
This game is just amazaing. You take your charater, Snake, into enemy territory and complete an almost impossible mission. During the game, legend, Boss defects to the Soviet Union. She brings a portable nuke as a present. When Volgin gets hold of it, he sparks a whole different mission. Eliminate Shagohad [ a vehicular nuclear device], Eliminate Volgin, and Eliminate Snakes beloved teacher, Boss. The game is a very actiony, emotional driven one. The best in the MGS Series. The graphics were like PS3 MGS4. The replay value is really high. The game is very diverse and gameplay changes everytime you play. You wont get bored of it. I suggest you buy the game today along with RE:Revelations.
RATING 10/10
The game was very diverse and the storyline is very engaging.
