I have just read on the internet that the 3DS Browser (released tomorrow) will NOT support Flash.
However, as most of you know, it will support stereoscopic images for the browser, which will be a great gift for developers such as me or HB.
Also, if you live in the Wichita area, be forewarned to not waste your gas to get a card. I just wasted an hour running to Wal-Mart just to find out they don't have them yet.
The update should be scheduled tomorrow, late afternoon. No time has been specified yet. It may be earlier.
I, for one, am very exited for this update, and I am looking forward to download it.
Here is a quick reminder on what will be included in the update tomorrow;
-3DS Browser
-eShop
-Free Pokedex 3DS Application*
-Free Classic-3D NES game: Exitebike*
-DSi App transferring
-Removal of White Knuckles video
-Possibly some bug fixes
-More than 350 different games available **
-Updates every Thursday**
*Must be downloaded from eShop
**Doubtful. Just going by what I've read.
Unlike the DSi Shop, the eShop will have MONETARY value with it's content. Instead of something being 200 points, it will be labeled as $2.00. Thus, giving the value of your money's worth.
So that means no "Money-to-points" gig, the cards are actual credits, like iTunes.
I hope this information comes in handy. And I hope that you're not as bummed out about the first part as I am.
EDIT:
As frank just pointed out, there will also be a game list of titles to-be released on Thursdays.
And also provided by Frank is a video:

It's in Japanese. But it should be self-explanatory enough for those who don't speak Japanese.
The update won't be ready until at least 7 pm CT.
If you all want to, you can add me. Then tell me, and I'll add you back. I'll announce when it is released via message board.
I gotta agree with Drwho, people hype-up every little detail, and spread rumors through forums. Nintendo might spread a rumor or possibility, but it might come back to bite them in Iwata's ass. The point is, none of you tread handheld gaming devices for gaming. It's all frills and ccrap. Look at "Smartphones". They're only popular because of the frills. I'm sure that anybody could do with a simple flip-phone that just calls, texts, voicemail, and possibly a Browser.
I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with the HTML5. No browser fully supports HTML5. Maybe they are stating that it doesn't FULLY support the standard. It does support canvas, which is part of HTML5. Remember that HTML5 also includes video, audio, geolocation, Web sockets, offline storage, WebSQL, file manipulation, and numerous other standards. I'll be sure to run plenty of tests tomorrow.
3D image uploading will be enough to keep me busy with 3DSPaint.com for a while.
3D doesn't even matter. Adding 3D to a browser is basically following the same protocol that the rest of the 3DS handles... Stereoscopic effects. Not that hard.
The fact that the rendering engine is HTML 4.01 is what gets me. The hardware is capable of it. The rendering engine they made is piss poor.
In the end, "3D Capable" doesn't mean jack. HTML has nothing to do with that. Nintendo should have stayed with Opera.
iPhone, Android, Palm, and the DSi Browser support HTML5 and they don't lag (With the exception of the DSi Browser). Not supporting HTML5 is stepping back in time.
I don't care about Flash. That's Flash. What I care about is the standard that every modern browser is on today, which is HTML5. Without HTML5, DSiPaint is nothing (Except for it's core community system).
What I dont understand is, if there is no Flash, and no HTML 5, how are they going to implement Netflix? Last I checked that requires Flash in order to view movies.
Also this was posted on my tumblr blog, here is a video of the e-shop for those on a pc/iProduct..Chuck, if you want to edit and throw this in there you can.
You forgot the part where they will release the names of the games released on Mondays, letting consumers figure out which games they want to purchase on Thursday.
