The Winchester House was named after the Winchester family, who created the Winchester rifle. This gun was used to kill many during the civil war. After the Civil War ended, the're baby caught a disease and died. 2 months later, the husband had caught the same disease, and died. The mother was very scared, so she contacted a priest to figure out what was happening. When the priest showed up, he had a worried look. The priest explained how all of the victims of the deadly Winchester Gun were haunting the small house, and that the curse would strike her next.
After hearing that, she sold the house and started building a trick house. The point of this house was to trick the angry souls, so they would get lost in the house if they tried to lay the curse. 5 months later, she caught the disease before finishing her trick mansion. Half way through, she put a roof on top, and then a few weeks later, she died. Even though the family was destroyed, the spirits wanted more revenge. They placed a haunting on the unfinished mansion.
