Alright, here we go... Personal information. It's ours, and we have the right to do whatever we want with it. We can give it away, advertise it, keep it secret, etc. So, when someone asks for, say, your phone number at a store, for, say, a rewards program, you say, "Oh, Sure!*scribblescribble*"

The company's privacy policy denotes where, and how, that info can be used. So, you're generally st no risk. Now, say someone asked you for your number to text you, on here. You're probably going to report them to an Admin. Why? Because you couldn't just say "no" instead. Which now brings me to my next point.

Personal Info on the Internet.

If you remember Alice[Insanity]'s Blog last week about Online Dating, and kidnapping, then get this: DON'T GIVE YOUR INFO. You don't have to give your photo! You don't have to give your real name! You don't HAVE to give them your number and address! IT'S ALL YOUR OWN CHOICE, SUBJECT TO YOUR OWN DISCRETIONS! I only give my number to a few members, *coughCrym/Robcoughhack*. They've never given it out, as far as I know. Because, I trusted them enough to give my number. So, that's me. Some members here don't even give out their real first name, which is silly, because no first name is unique. So, there's really no reason to feel pressured about giving out your info, because you just need to say "no".

"Oh, I could get raped and kidnapped if I give my number". Don't give your number. "I could attract stalkers if I give my name!" Don't give your name, then. It's all able to be controlled by you. If you don't want it to be shared, only give to people you trust, or don't give at all.v But, please, please, PLEASE, don't spread fear and confusion based on your own paranoia. It's not right, we already dealt with Bush. -.-
