I have had Cave Story for a while now, and have enjoyed it completely(i have written other blogs on it). I think it's time for a review...

Cave Story is an 8-bit sidescrolling shooter, but with an interesting but somewhat depressing storyline. you wake up in a cave with no idea of who you are or why you are there. when you leave the cave, you discover a village inhabited by rabbit-like creatures called mimiga, who are being abducted by "the doctor". you encounter one in particular who you will discover is actually a human turned into a mimiga. as you progress, you uncover more information of where you are and what is going on around you. you are on a floating island, and "the doctor" is planning on using mimiga to take over "the surface"(we can only assume this is still on earth). he is after the red flower, a plant that puts the mimiga into an insane state of rage, destroying their reasoning. he will be able to control them with the demon crown, which also grant him incredible powers. you discover along the way that you are also a robot, sent to the island a long time ago...to find a powerful energy source inside the island. you meet another robot along the way: Curly Brace...
