Hello everyone! I've decided to start posting a weekly blog that talks about various projects and rumors and events happening at various theme parks every Friday.
Week One's Top Story:
CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN'(California Adventure) AND SIDEWINDER (Hershey Park) VALLEY!
An extremely rare occurance happened TWICE in the same day today. California Screamin', an INTAMIN Launched Coaster at California Adventure, and Sidewinder, a VEKOMA Boomerang Clone at Hershey Park, both "Valleyed" today.
Valleying refers to the occurance in which a coaster train fails to complete a full circut, and "valleys" or gets stuck between two hills in a well...Valley.
This is a very rare occurance. It last happened in 2010 on Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure (before today).
As far as anyone knows, this is the first time two coasters have valleyed on the same day.
Both coasters will remain closed until further notice.
Story 2: As we approach the time of year when ride announcements are made, many wild rumors have been going around:
Knott's Berry Farm: A supposed 300ft+ "Giga" coaster that will be the fastest gravity driven coaster on Earth at speeds over 100 mph. (Builder: Intamin)
Dollywood: Is confirmed to be getting a new coaster, supposedly a "wingwalker" where riders are mounted out side, on the edge of te car. This ride will supposedly have the largest inversion on Earth. (Builder: Bolinger And Mabilliard, aka B&M)
Disneyland: I made a blog on the Stark Expo attraction purposely leaked to recieve feedback. It is uncleear whether it will indeed happen, we'll have to wait till D23, Disney's Entertainment Expo in August to find out.
Universal Studios' Islands Of Adventure: After the overwhelming success of the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, Universal is rumored to have expansion plans that call for a Diagon Alley area with a Gingotts roller coaster! (Coaster Builder: ???)
