No Right

I stare at the wall,
my thoughts racing fast
I finally knew,
the worst was past...

Or, was it? I think,
with an dawning thought,
What NOW!?
I realize it's not.

I begin to feel,
the wave of pain,
that girl...
the way HE said HER name...

I shakily inhale,
my breaths coming fast;
What did you expect?
Did you think it would LAST?

I DIDN'T think...
couldn't think that far...
I always swore you were my
fallen star...

Meaning, to me,
that of COURSE, you were MINE!
I just ASSUMED...
SHE never crossed my mind!!

I never told you, of course...
Oh, I wish I HAD!
Things went from perfect,
to terribly BAD.

I thought to tell you,
but I kept saying, I'll wait...
I thought you'd stay mine,
I thought things were great...

I HAVE NO RIGHT!
I scream with a cry,
OH, I DIDN'T TELL YOU...
I WISH I KNEW WHY!

WAS I SCARED YOU'D REJECT ME!?
Only God knows!
I would of told you regardless,
if I knew this was how it'd go!

You aren't mine...
I have no claim...
in my heart, I loved you,
but that's not the same!

She is your's,now...
And you'll never know...
That in my heart, I wish to tell you...

I loved you so.
