The usual. Mom sends me the news article, it pisses me off, I make it into a blog, other people get pissed off, Takis Teh Greek whines about not being in the first paragraph, Mr. Lord Zeus disagrees, then the Ram sort of agrees with some parts, but not enough, neongirl says we're all ignorant, Waffle King says something that makes us all laugh, then Admiral lol's Waffle King and tells me "good job", then Mr. Lord Zeus comes in with more ways to disagree, making himself sound more ignorant, then Haruspex rolls his eyes, and finally HullBreach saves the day with his blog-sized comment.
Enjoy the comments. And the blog too.

Obama grants amnesty by executive order

Last Friday, with no fanfare, no press coverage, and with every effort made to hide his actions from the American people, President Obama enacted the DREAM Act by executive order.
Opposed by a majority of the American people and twice defeated in Congress, the DREAM Act grants amnesty to any illegal alien residing in the United States if s/he agrees to enlist in the U.S. Military or enter college.
The Obama administration memo from the John Morton, Director of I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) directs I.C.E. Agents now to use "prosecutorial discretion" with regard to enforcing immigration laws.
Director Morton says that Obama Administration policy directs border patrol agents not to enforce immigration laws: "When ICE favorably exercises prosecutorial discretion, it essentially decides not to assert the full scope of the enforcement authority available to the agency."
You read that right. According to the Obama administration "favorable" enforcement means NOT enforcing the law!
According to one of the first press reports to break this important story, the new Obama policy is cut and dry: "federal immigration officials do not have to deport illegal aliens if they are enrolled in any type of education program, if their family members have volunteered for U.S. Military service, or even if they are pregnant or nursing."
Arizona and the voter ID law
Just recently Obama's Department of Justice (DOJ) blocked Arizona from enforcing its voter ID law. Arizona is one if not the biggest portal of illegal immigration in the nation with half a million illegal aliens coming through the state annually. Arizona's Attorney General Tom Horne recently stated that he believed that blocking of the law facilitated massive voter fraud by illegal aliens.
Attorney General Tom Horne accused the Obama administration Tuesday of trying to thwart Arizona's voter-ID laws in a bid to get more illegal immigrants to the polls - presumably to cast ballots for the president and Democrats.
Horne acknowledged that a brief filed by the Department of Justice in a case to be heard next month by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals centers around the agency's argument that Arizona's law requiring proof of citizenship to register is pre-empted by federal law. But Horne, a Republican, told Capitol Media Services he sees something more sinister." More.
The 2012 presidential elections
First we have amnesty passed by executive order then we have President Obama's DOJ blocking voter ID in Arizona. What could possibly be the president's motive? If you wish to review the entire immigration directive click here.
This story has the potential to bring the Obama Administration to its knees. The momentum can be on our side and just e-mailing this to others can create a critical mass. Don't assume you have no power. You do!
i'm sorry you misunderstand my comment i have nothing against MEXY KANS i'm against all illegal immagrants, including but not limited to MEXY KANS ( i get pissed when people hate on muslims ).
people shouldn't be judging anyone by race, religion, ancestry, skin color, etc. people are different depending on who they are not who people similar to them are.
Every once in a while you hear on the news "a muslim did this crime blah, blah, blah, a MEXY KAN shot blahbity, blah, blah a black man raped blahbity, blah, blah". but what if take a male, white, christian, originating from england commited a crime you don't here "a christian did blah, blah" or "an english man did blah, blah, blah. they point out religion, race, skin color, etc. only when it has a bad rap.
apologies to,
the ram i didn't mean to insult you.
The first step to getting rid of us? Get the large companies to stop hiring us, but actually enforce such fines and penalties. I know I sound like a sell-out of sorts, but really, you continue to inviteus here. Give us the official boot without sneaking us back in.
Since copypasta makes for an entire everything, I'm going to post something I found:
"The DREAM Act would allow certain illegal immigrants — those who were brought to the United States as children and who are now in college or the military — to gain legal status and qualify for citizenship. Senate Democratic leadership brought the bill up last year, but it failed to get enough votes to allow a floor vote. This year, there was a Senate hearing on a new version of the bill in June, but its future is doubtful.
The e-mail above claims that "the Obama administration has bypassed Congress and We the American People by enacting the DREAM Act via dictatorial Executive Orders" after the bill failed to pass. That's not true. National Archives records show that Obama has not issued any executive orders on immigration. Executive orders can be powerful tools and many carry the "force of law," although the next president can quickly undo them with another EO.
Although Obama didn't issue an executive order, the e-mail is correct that Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton issued a June 17 memo providing ICE agents and officials with "guidance on the exercise of prosecutorial discretion." The e-mail, however, distorts the purpose and meaning of the policy directive.
The memo said such discretion is necessary because the agency has "limited resources" and "must prioritize the use of its enforcement personnel." It gave guidelines for who should not be detained and deported, and it listed 19 factors to be considered, including if the person is in "pursuit of education" in the U.S. It also listed eight "classes of individuals that warrant particular care," including "individuals present in the United States since childhood." Instead, the memo said, the agency's priority should be deporting illegal immigrants who are "a clear risk to national security," "serious felons," "known gang members" and "individuals with an egregious record of immigration violations." Such policy directives can easily be undone simply by issuing a new policy directive.
The e-mail — which was written as part of a fundraising solicitation from the anti-immigration group Secure Borders Coalition — distorts other aspects of DREAM Act and Morton's memo:
The e-mail grossly overstates how many people would be eligible for the DREAM Act, when it criticizes "Obama's on-going and planned use of his Executive powers to give Dream Act Amnesty to over 20 million illegals." By most accounts, there are no more than 10.8 million to 13 million TOTAL illegal immigrants in the U.S., and nonpartisan congressional analysts estimated that 1.1 million of them may be eligible for the DREAM Act by 2020.
The e-mail wrongly says Obama plans to grant citizenship to "over 20 MILLION illegals (including dangerous criminals)." In fact, the administration is targeting dangerous criminals for deportation — a policy clearly spelled out in the same Morton memo that the Secure Borders Coalition cites in its e-mail.
The e-mail claims, without evidence, that an anonymous administration official said the Obama administration has a plan to "incrementally remove all obstacles for immigration reform without a public debate."
The e-mail distorts the memo by suggesting it was written solely for those who would have benefited from the DREAM Act. But there are eight "classes of individuals that warrant particular care," according to the memo, and the majority of them would not qualify for legal status under the DREAM Act.
The e-mail provides a list of the "minimal criteria" illegal immigrants must meet to be eligible for the DREAM Act, but there are more criteria in the bill than listed here."
I went to bed early last night, so here comes my delayed response:
Obama has once again tossed another page of the US Constitution into the paper shredder. Anytime he does not get his way (off-shore drilling, cap-and-trade, don't-ask-don't-tell, Obamacare), he whines at a press conference and legislates from the White House through executive order or bureaucratic trickery. It doesn't matter what a president's view is on a topic; these types of actions are dangerous and lead us down the path to a socialist dictatorship. The last president I know that has undertaken such illegal and impeachable crimes was Franklin Roosevelt, who was hailed by the socialists as being this great leader. Does a great leader keep the nation in a depression for personal gain? Does a great leader default on the nation's debt to help his friends? Does a great leader try to stack two extra justices on the US Supreme Court to get his way? Well, that's all beside the point, since this is about Obama.
The problem with Obama legislating from the Oval Office on this issue is that is it very much spelt out in the US Constitution as having to originate from Congress. Shouldn't he know this since the media call him a "Constitutional scholar"? Of, that's right; he was just a guest lecturer.
Do we need immigration reform for legal immigrants? Of course we do! (Most of us are descendants of immigrants.) Giving a conditional presidential pardon amounts to telling someone who broke into and robbed a bank that there will be no punishment "if you promise that you will be a good boy". (If you don't see the correlation between breaking into a bank and jumping the border, then you do not see the whole picture.)
Chuck, do I have permission to be politically incorrect (since political correctness as invented by Karl Marx) in the comment? Okie dokie! Here are the problems with ILLEGAL immigrants:
1. Their first act on US soil is a crime. If they commit one crime, that are much more likely than not to commit another... and another... and another. Just look at the annual statistics put out by the Dept of Justice on this. Illegal immigrants commit crimes at a much higher rate than legal immigrants and citizens. These are not minor crimes, either. They are crimes such as murder and rape. Two years ago, California was $18 billion over budget. Deporting all illegals in prison would have closed this budget gap.
2. The anchor baby loophole eats billions of dollars per year off the welfare budget. What happens is a woman runs over the border to give birth to a baby, hoping to make a better life for the child. This baby is considered an automatic US citizen (which makes no sense since the legal jurisdiction is that of another nation). Now the entire family that came with this then-unborn child gets to live off the government coffers. The people come into the country with no viable skills. They came from poverty, and they remain in poverty.
3. With the illegal immigrant epidemic is the disease epidemic. I can guarantee that people running across the border did not get a doctor's note before doing so. Diseases come into the nation at such a fast rate on the border to the south because of this.
4. Illegal drugs just flood into the nation by border runners. This hurts the nation as a whole because of hard substances like cocaine and heroine becoming available to people who commit crimes to get money for them. (That's from another Dept of Justice statistic.)
5. The language barrier becomes another issue. The vast majority of illegal immigrants speak another language, be it Spanish, Arabic, Russian, or any of the other common languages of illegals. We speak American English in this country.
I'm sure some racist pro-illegal people are now thinking "but who would pick my strawberries"? Did you know that economists estimate that the cost of food per person would only go up about $.30/month if "plantation" owners did not exploit illegals with sub-minimum wage pay? I don't mind $.30/month and rest my case at that.
Dragon, if I'm correct, all U.S. male citizens at age 18 must enlist in the Military, to be drafted if there's a need for troops. I think. I'm not looking forward to age 18, I don't care if I seem spineless for that.
Thank you, Gordan.
Furthermore, this 'wasted' border funding can go to paying off our debt. So shove it.
2 of these comments greatly offended me.(that's hard to do)
I am Mexican, what makes us so bad? How are we illegal immigrants in America if Americans themselves are Aliens here too? Most Americans originate from Europe.
I'm Mexican, born and raised.
But I live in America.
to put it shortly, I totally agree with The Ram
If you people moved your asses and were willing to work for spit, you'd have an easier time getting rid of us Mexicans.
And just so I don't have to announce later, I and my Mother were born here. Grandmother moved here in the '50s-'60s. So don't give me "Go back, you Wetback" bullcrap, got it?
It was nice to contain that link with that email. Now I have evidence straight from the horses mouth that our president is a joke.
I'd like to see Jake try to prove THIS one wrong.
