Water
Gentle and welcoming
The sun reflecting of it's glistening surface
And schools of beautiful fish
Who could've knew
What the big beautiful blue
Would soon come to do
Washing over to consume you
Raging waves
Treating you like slaves
And a tremendous hurricane
Who's only job is to cause pain
Tearing families apart
Ending the beat of a childs heart
Flooding our towns
And selling us frowns
We suffer
And we suffocate
Death filling lungs of little ones
Releasing It's carnage
Sometimes beauty
Can be deceiving
No matter how pleasing
And then you feel
A certain appeal
When beauty
Turns to beast
When you can't care for it
When pollution burdens it
You should feel regret
Because of your disrespect
Treat nature with kindness
And it might show mercy
But don't show fear
When you see disaster appear
Because it means hope is near
The sun is shinning
Stop your whining
And be thankful for what you still have
"Life"
*This poem is to show, that even something that seems beautiful, calm, and right. Can turn on you in an instant; but it happens for a reason and you need to respect it. An example being: (relating to me)
You finaly get the girl of your dreams. Everything seems to be going smoothly, theres a small fight here and there, (like the gentle rippling waves at sea) but you are quaint and happy. Then the girl of your dreams dumps you. And theres bigger fights, then understanding, then more fighting. (like larger waves slamming against rocks, retreating, then attacking once more)
And she says she has no feelings for you and its like a stab to the heart, and your filled with pain. (the flood)
And then you realize...You should respect what happened befor it gets worse. And you can be friends.
