Today is the day we remember our lost soldiers. Those who died for our countries to save their families. Their friends. Strangers.
Why we are here today.
Where would we be without them? Honestly I don't know. Kicked out to sea with barely enough food to last one man a week? In a camp where we are brutally bashed if we make a tiny mistake. Speaking a different language?
I don't know but I'm glad I don't and it's thanks to those soldiers who gave up their life for each and every one of us.
Famous soldiers like Simpson are so brave and courages. They have done things I would never have the guts to do. They are our Heroes.
The word Hero can be used extremely lightly, but soldiers have abilities everone admires, where everyone wants to be like them in some ways, has done something brave and courageous, or something that makes you feel proud. They have influence over you and you show respect to them.
That's what a hero is. That's what a soldier is.
So take just one moment today, even if you don't celebrate Remembrance Day, and think about the soldiers fighting today. Fighting for your freedom. Fighting for a roof over your head, fighting to keep you with food and water, fighting to make sure you, a complete stranger, has clothing. Fighting for you...
