Scientific Theory, what I believe really happened.

Savii This blog is to allow everyone an eye into an athiests mind. This is the way I believe we were created.

Starting with the Big Bang. Now I have noticed the popularity of this theory go up and down like a roller coaster, some years more people believe it then others. The idea is that a mass of particles has been expanding since time begun. Scientist believe the universe is going to be like a stress doll, you squeeze it, all the parts expand and go out, and then eventually get sucked back in, unlike the doll though, the universe is actually growing. I was kind of pissed off while doing research. I was looking this up and on Answers.com some idiot was saying god created the big bang.... whatever skip it...

Life was born. This is hard to say, but here's what I believe. I believe A few Carbon atoms got lucky and smashed together creating life, very primitive life that was more like a virus. Then, the Carbon compounds started creating Amino Acids, and from there, Nucleui, Protiens and enough parts to become bacteria! Now some people will argue "the chances of that happening are impossible". Well now its the athiests turn to say use your imagination! If you think of it, there are billions of stars, billions of chances for life, Earth might not even be the only planet with life. The chances are'nt as low as you think. What are te chances of English being a language with all these exact marks. Amazing things happen all around us, and I believe they still are. My take on creationism: I personally don't understand it... It sounds like a religous person wanting to believe in science, but failing. Wha are creationist beliefs? Please comment them!!! Thanks. By the way,
my dad's a RPC Religous Program Specialist (Chief). He kind of knows what he's telling me...

Well, it wouldn't have been "BAM". It would have taken a few tries on the atoms part. Not everything was back then as it is now. Ourneeds have changed.

In the end, there's really little point in even giving a damn. I mean, we all live for about 70 or 80 years and then conk out, and during that time, there's little we really do which is based on knowledge of origins.

Each to their own, but in the end, it'll make little difference. You'll just die, and whatever happens, happens.

I was mad, because of the argument! These 2 guys were debating about evolution and the big bang. One guy said "Well please explain to me how the world was created" and the other guy responded "God made it" then the scientist said "Well how" once again the other guy responded "God did it" after that, the scientist explained te big bang to him and the dude explained back "Well god made the big bang and evolution".... Now do you see where im coming from.

So what your saying is that I choose not to use my imagination.... Me not believing that everything was created by 1 person... Well think about it this way, if I don't believe everything was created by 1 person, now I can think about what created everything! Please, before you call me close-minded, at least be a little open-minded.....

Your so right about how faith is a good thing. less likely to suiside, and you wouldnt think twice about living your life.

People need to make sense when they argue. instead of saying 'your wrong! im christian so i know it!' they should explain more about why. of corse evolution seems impossible. you can tell that evolution happens between animals though because of hiw much different males and females are. they have differences for attracting mates and fighting for them. because of this the males pass on there genes. genes that only,pass onto males.

I'm not really one to even care about our "Origins". I personally think Evolution is a workable theory. Compare that to everything being set up. If most species are segregated to different time-periods, riddle me this, Christians: Has every single living organism existed since "The Beginning", or do you believe that a God randomly pops in new things to 'mix it up' every so often?[ie; new species, etc] If your answer is the former, then that implies Evolution makes more sense.
I'm just curious to know.

Yes Hullbreach it does take a large amount of faith, but faith is what keeps people going. Living on military bases my whole life, ive seen how religion effects some people. Most of the military people are always happy, and even though they know they have a chance of dieing in Afghanistan, they just prey and when they get back believe that god has made them invinsible! The only ones that are disrespectful that I know of are the 23-28 year olds, they party alot :/

I love all your input! Heres my simplistic idea on Athiesm. Its how I think, I have an amazing imagination, but I just can't believe a higher power created everything else. My thought process on that is, what created the higher power? Huge paradox, just like the Universe, if it ends, then whats at the end? If it keeps going, then our physics and law of matter is all wrong, because matter cannot be created nor destroyed... Everything is a mystery, and as humans we are all curious, but remember, curiousity kills! (and saves lives) :p

Now about the throwing computer parts in the air! Try throwing them in the air trillions of times, and chances are they'll land together once!

It takes a great deal of faith to not believe in a higher power. Let me elucidate:

1. Science explains what happens at the point of the Big Bang very well. What happened before that?

2. Science explains how creatures can adapt. How does that explain that a single species of woodpecker has a tongue that goes from its throat, around the inside of the skull, over its head, out of it's forehead, down its nosebridge, into it's sinus, through its mouth, and out its beak?

3. Science explains senses and responses to stimuli, but how can we have a conscience?

I personally believe that science explains the how, and religion explains the why and what. For this reason, roughly 50%-70% of scientists, depending on the feld of study, believe in a higher power.

The way I see it, something as complex as a human being cannot be formed accidentally. What are the chances that I could throw computer parts in the air, and they'd all land on each other to form a computer. I'm not saying God did it. I'm just saying that there is more. The world is full of mysteries that we can never figure out. No matter how bright the light of knowledge, there is a greater void of darkness surrounding it. I personally believe in God, simply because I find it logical. Every creation needs a creator. No, I don't believe God snapped his fingers and poof came the Universe. Even the whole seven days thing, I find more symbolic. I'm pretty sure I wrote a blog about the Bible's symbolism, but I can't remember if I did, let alone the quality. Being close-minded, I feel is the greatest sin. I'd convert to atheism if you'd give me a good enough argument as to why. Sadly, not many atheists can give a good argument. Many are simply atheists out of spite, or hatred. Not that religious people are any different. Many are simply religious because someone told them to. In reality, most people are sheep. It's just that some go with the flow, and others against it. But it's not until you've left the herd and formed your own opinions that you can truly say that you believe in something. Until then, you're just believing what people told you.

I actually enjoyed this Blog, Mr. Gangsta. Mostly because of the content, but you actually seemed to know of what you're talking about today. +1

Oh, and *Criticism. 

As I was talking with a new friend[who happens to be a very nice Christian,] we were talking about beliefs and conversion. He said, essentially, that A true Christian who has been Born Again will not impose their beliefs on others. It is not the right thing to do. They shall find God if they really want to join Him and live in His kingdom.

He's perhaps the smartest Christian I know, besides my Uncle.[he's a Priest.]

Nuclear fusion is the elements fusing to become,others. e.g hydrogen to heleum. you should learn this in school so it is correct. im just saying where the carbon comes from. hydrogen. if you get it? its probarbly more complecated than i say but that is what happens. notice hydrogen is the lightest element. if you ask a scientist how suns are made they would say hydrogen. also, with the planets, notice,the gas planets are the furthest away. this is because gas can move further before anything happens.

btw... you were right. i just added in detail. the carbon comes from the sun.

I only hate on other peoples religion when they try to convert me... Heres where you failed. carbon atoms? everything is created by hydrogen firstly and becomes other element via nuclear fusion (spelling fail xD) itt wont just be carbon atoms. suns are created purely by hydrogen. life would be created by maybe the way you said. but not only carbon, carbon is important for strength (e.g. bones) but there are also other elements needed.

though saying this, any other element or something people call dust (from big bang) could be,anything. any solid element that would be quite big would have a gravity. so a solid object would be needed. The fact is a sun is created by hydrogen and the planets are created by the suns leftovers.
