Angel, over the course of about two days, gave birth to seven puppies. They're all adorable and I'm glad to say that they aren't all black like I thought they'd be. In fact only one, the very last to be born is black. In order: 1. Brown w/ dark brown stripe down back, male, unnamed; 2. Black and white w/ brown eyebrows and jaw and white tipped tail, male, Snoopy; 3. Dark brown, almost black, w/ two white spots on collarbones, female, unnamed; 4. Brindle and white w/ white tipped tail and black nose, female, Ginger; 5. Brown, darker than the first, w/ same dark brown stripe down the back and a white chest, female, Princess; 6. Dark brindle, female, unnamed; 7. Black, female, unnamed.
They're a cute bunch. If you want to experience 'the miracle of birth' though, go for cats. It takes less time, its not as scary, they aren't stinky, they aren't messy (until they begin to eat), they're quieter, and they take up less space. Its an all around better deal. Plus, if you're one of those people who hates to give up pets, there aren't any laws on how many cats you can have (at least not where I live) but you can oly own four dogs, unless you have a kennel license.
I also finally got my hedgehog, from a USDA registered breeder rather than the one I was talking about before. I named her Mia, because I thought she'd be mising in action by the end of the night. Thankfully she wasn't. She's about the size of an adult teddy bear hamster right now, she's the runt, and full-grown should be the size of a small guinea pig. She's 10 weeks old and feels like petting a hairbrush when she's relaxed, the ones that are spikey and black. When she's upset orstartled she feels like a ball of papercuts and her teeth are like dull knives. I've gotton into the habit of washing my hands all the time. Its starting to annoy people.
When the computer starts working again, I'll definitely post pictures. Watch out for them!
